Ministerial Statements of Expectations for regulators

Ministers are required to issue Statements of Expectations to regulators under the Victorian Statement of Expectations Framework for Regulators.

Statements of Expectations aim to establish clear expectations for regulator performance and improvement between responsible Ministers and regulators.

Ministerial Statements of Expectations were issued by the Minister for Health to the following regulators in the department:

• The Health Regulator, on 1 May 2025.
• The Communicable Disease functions in Public Health Protection, Practice and Response, on 22 December 2024

The Minister has also issued a Statement of Expectations to the Victorian Pharmacy Authority, which is published on its website.
